Postcards from Raja Ampat

I finally made it to Raja Ampat, the “four kings” of Indonesia! And it totally lives up to the hype. There aren’t enough superlatives to adequately describe this place, so here are a few postcard pics from our adventures through beautiful Raja Ampat so far:

The magic began right away:  as we sailed into Raja Ampat after an overnight passage from Morotai, we were welcomed by a small pod of dolphins riding our bows. And shortly after the little limestones islands started popping out of the horizon. The view from the lookout in Wayag is stunning!

This place is famous for diving and marine biodiversity, and we spotted our fair share of marine critters and fish during our dive and snorkel adventures.

More spectacular scenery, and lots and lots of amazing birdlife, including these guys –  Blyth’s hornbills.
